Demolition concludes at Zorrotzaurre Punta Norte

The Contract Award Board has concluded demolition work on the unoccupied industrial buildings located at Punta Norte on the future island of Zorrotzaurre, an area that comprises over 100,000 sq.m. of land.

Only 5 buildings remain standing in that area for which the Special Plan anticipates their future rehabilitation and assignment to new production activities. These are more specifically the former Tarabusi building, the Consonni thermoelectric station, theElorriega Industrial building, the Mefesa office and laboratory buildingsand a farmhouse.

Punta Norte is thus now ready for future urbanisation works in the area and the introduction of new buildings, shopping and production areas and the leisure and public enjoyment spaces included in the Special Plan.
